I couldn’t decide whether to call this post Where’s the Beef? or Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner. I digress. For Father’s Day this year, I wanted to get my husband something we’d all enjoy – beef from a grass fed cow. Nothing says “I love you, Dad” like a side of beef, right? I had visions of the whole family going to the farm to pick up our beef and maybe some eggs from grass fed chickens, then eating a delicious steak or burger from the grill that night. (Does that sound gruesome? Perhaps we should have a vegetarian meal instead.) Sadly, the farm doesn’t have any meat available this weekend so the Father’s Day meal of my husband’s dreams will have to wait.
Food aside, I do hope my husband has a lovely day. While I’m sure sleeping in, a day on the golf course, then some food and drinks with friends are high on his wish list, I’m sure his day will more likely consist of waking up at 5:30 a.m., mowing the lawn, and enjoying food and drinks out of sippy cups with his two favorite guys (well, three if you count the dog).
Happy Father’s Day!
